History
Since 1989, the Alliance identified the need
for substance abuse initiatives for adults and children in Hillsborough
County. In 2003, the Alliance formalized itself and re-structured as a
501 ( c ) (3) and emerged as a true coalition. The Alliance's vision and
mission remain the same and the Alliance serves as an advocate for local
substance abuse programs.
The coalition continues to organize and host
Kidfest/Teen Expo it's major prevention activity in October every year.

To strengthen community substance abuse
prevention and treatment efforts through advocacy, collaboration and
coordination with all segments of the community.

Strategic Principle
Use innovative prevention, education, and
awareness activities that will identify, build, or enhance community-based
efforts that eradicate the illegal use of alcohol and other drugs.
